In the ongoing 4-day Men’s Cooch Behar Trophy U-19—a BCCI Domestic Trophy match between the teams of UP and Nagaland at SRMS Cricket Stadium, SRMS CET, Bareilly, the DAY-1 saw an ecstatic performance by Uttar Pradesh team, who scored 319 runs in 65.4 overs and returned back to pavilion on the first day itself.
After the grand inaugural ceremony on the first day of tournament on November 12, Nagaland won the toss and elected to field. Prashant Vir Singh from Uttar Pradesh team scored magnificent 98 runs and hit 10 fours and 6 sixes. He fell short with just 2 runs in earning a century. The UP team Captain, Adarsh Singh scored 85 runs on 74 balls and hit 16 boundaries.
At the end of Stumps Day-1, the Nagaland team scored 73 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 27 overs, and shall continue its innings on Day-2 on November 13th, 2022.
