Overview

Dr. Tanmay Pant is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Management at SRMS IBS, Lucknow. A Ph.D. in life insurance distribution from Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology, Guna (M.P.), Dr. Tanmay has an MBA (Marketing) degree from the University of Lucknow along with a UGC-NET (Management) certification. Besides, he is a Licentiate of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai and poised to be an Associate soon. A consistent rank holder in MBA, Dr. Tanmay is a passionate teacher and writer with publications in reputed national and international journals {Scopus & UGC Care Indexed} along with conference presentations in IIM Bodh Gaya, MDI, DTU, and BBAU (Lucknow) to name a few. Further, he has FDP certification from AICTE {NPTEL - Sales & Distribution, IIT Kharagpur/IIT Madras) and Universal Human Values}.Winner of the national article writing competition organised by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur, Dr. Tanmay has been given honorarium for his publications in the journals of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai and the National Insurance Academy, Pune. An experienced academician, Dr. Tanmay has had a substantial stint in the industry, notably in sales & training in the BFSI industry (Max Life Insurance, NIIT IFBI, ICICI Bank), bringing thus, a fine blend of the two fields into his teaching. His teaching interests include Marketing, Insurance, Business Strategy, Managerial Economics, Marketing of Services, and Sales & Distribution. His research interests revolve around the distribution aspect of life insurance, development of teaching cases in marketing, and qualitative research.
