“True leadership isn’t about having an idea. It’s about having an idea and recruiting other people to execute on this vision.” Keeping this notion in mind, on August 20 and 21, 2021, SRMSIBS organized Club recruitment activity for the recruitment of various club members related to the 8 clubs at SRMSIBS namely Marketing, HR, Sports, Cultural, Movie, Dance, Finance and Social Media Marketing Club. It was a student-driven activity where the Vice Presidents of the club have to attract the students for joining their clubs. The selection process had 2 rounds, inviting the candidates through form filling and selecting them by interviewing. Many freshmen made friends by joining clubs. Joining a club can help, improve or gain leadership skills. By joining a club, overtime, a student can become more confident and outgoing. College clubs and club activities should be an integral part of college life imparting the opportunity to students to develop social skills.
