HEARTS THAT HEAL, HANDS THAT SHINE: SRMS COLLEGE OF NURSING CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY WITH PRIDE & PASSION

Marking the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, SRMS College of Nursing, Bareilly lit up with joy, gratitude during its International Nurses Day celebration, honoring the compassion, strength & tireless dedication of nurses everywhere.

Organised in collaboration with Nursing Department of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, and Caring Hands Club, this year’s WHO theme, ‘Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies’, came alive through an inspiring blend of soulful performances, energetic dance, a vibrant fashion showetc. Nevertheless, a striking poster showcase, a powerful skit honoring journey of nurses from silent caregivers to healthcare warriors, and a heart-melting tribute video onnurses’ role stole the spotlight and captured every heart in the room.

The celebration was graced by Guest of Honor Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Chief Guest Dr (Col) RP Singh, MS, IMS; Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, SRMS College of Nursing; Dr Rohit Sharma, Dean PG; Dr Shailesh Saxena , Dean Academics, CETR, and other dignitaries, with special recognition to incredible nurses. In his address, Aditya Murti called nurses “real-life superheroes—the heartbeat of our present and future”, and later honoured them with certificates for their service.

Tanya Chauhan and Simranjeet Kaur hosted the event, which began with a welcome speech by Neetu, Deputy Matron, IMS. Poster presentations were evaluated by Dr RP Singh, Dr Rohit Sharma, and Joyce Wilson, Matron, wherein, Vandana Kashyap (Ortho Ward), Sneha Gupta (BSc Nursing 2021) & Anjali (Cardiac ICU) secured top three positions. The celebration sealed with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony and a vote of thanks by Mayank Kumar, Associate Professor, SRMS Nursing College.
