SRMS College of Nursing celebrated World Osteoporosis Day in a creative manner!

SRMS College of Nursing organized, observed and celebrated World Osteoporosis Day in SRMS Hospital, Bareilly on October 20th, 2022 based on this year’s theme ‘Step up for bone health’. The event witnessed the gracious presence of Deputy Medical Superintendent CM Chaturvedi; Chief Matron Lt. Col. Eliyamma VJ; Matron Joyce Wilson; Principal Professor Rintu Chaturvedi along with nursing faculties.
During the event, a fun-filled and interesting Role Play based on Osteoporosis day theme that was organized by the first and second year students of B. Sc Nursing. Another added attraction of the celebration was a MIME, which was organized by second year students of B. Sc Nursing.
The celebrations commenced with a welcome speech by Rahul Kumar, Assistant Professor (Department Medical Surgical Nursing) wherein he explained about osteoporosis and its prevention. The programme was organized under the supervision of Professor Rintu Chaturvedi, Principal SRMS College of Nursing, and well coordinated by Rahul Kumar and Anju Singh Assistant Professor, SRMS College of Nursing (Medical Surgical Department).
During the event, second year B. Sc nursing students including Rupinder Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Harneet Kaur, Sakshi Singh and Devendra Gangawar presented the topics of Causes, Signs and Symptoms, Management and Prevention of Osteoporosis, which was quite informative.
Later, in the end, vote of thanks was given by Anju Singh, Assistant Professor, SRMS College of Nursing.
