November 24, 2020, kicked off with a bang, marking the first day of the Orientation Week ‘Aarambh – 2020’ for new students of MBA and MCA (Batch of 2022) of SRMS CET. The fun-filled day was a great start for the tech and management enthusiasts who eagerly dove into the event, which had two stimulating programs
First up was a guest lecture led by experienced entrepreneur, Mr. Sanjay Verma, who shared valuable advice on how students must align their careers with their values, culture, family, and the basic tenets of life. He highlighted the facets of the Success Model which were Clarity, Capacity, and Motivation. He also took them on a journey into his life as a professional and shared the mantras he lives by: learning equals earning, and expertise is more important than experience.
The next event was a thrilling ‘Quiz-O-Mania’ contest, coordinated by Mr. Amit Kumar Srivastava, Assistant Professor, MBA. The event consisted of 5 rounds. Round 1 focused on questions related to business and economic affairs, which saw students participating with great enthusiasm. Round 2 consisted of identifying famous Bollywood personalities. Round 3 centred around the jingles of noted brands, while round 4 was all about taglines and slogans of products and brands. While all participants performed well, 7 stole the show. They were: 1st position – MBA students Pankhuri Saxena, Anjali Barwal, and Salman Khan; 2nd position – MBA students Anshika Maurya, Aishwarya Pathak, and Pawan Kumar, and MCA student Mohd. Ajmeri Khan.
Fruitful faculty interaction with students saw uncovering of domain-specific facts and a building up of concepts that helped them towards charting their career goals.
