With hard work, dedication and sincere efforts, SRMS Medical Student, Dr Sara Rizvi, MS, Department of Ophthalmology, Senior Resident, SRMS IMS Bareilly has been conferred with prestigious Gold Medal and Degree by UP Governor, Honorable Anandiben Patel in a 20th Convocation Ceremony of MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly held on December 29, 2022.
After receiving Gold Medal for her great academic achievements, Dr Sara Rizvi was on cloud nine. Throwing light on her monumental fete, she said, “This has been so unexpected. After years of medical study, earning the title of doctor and winning a Gold Medal is one of the happiest moments for me. It’s also a great responsibility for people’s lives and health. I really feel honored and humbled. Well, I strongly feel that sincerity, attentiveness in the clinics and systematic reading can earn you all the laurels you wish for. For this, I would like to thank the SRMS Institute, Honorable Chairman Sir, Shri Dev Murti, Aditya Murti Sir and Principal, Dr SB Gupta Sir for providing me such expansive and diverse clinical and academic exposure. I’d extend my most sincere gratitude to my teacher, mentor and guide for life, Dr Neelima Mehrotra ma’am and all my faculties, seniors, batchmates, juniors and the entire staff of ophthalmology department for supporting me throughout. And all this couldn’t have been possible without my parents and family, for whom this has been their dream more than mine.”
