A FUN-FILLED JUMPSTART TO EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The Department of Computer Science and Technology at SRMS CET&R, Bareilly conducted a zero hour activity in the month of November on every Thursday to empower students effectively with enhanced skills. ‘Zero Hour’ is an opportunity to give a fun start to students’ morning, and boost-up their skills and talents.
LOVE FOR CODING
One such activity organized was a college level Coding Competition for students of all batches in well-equipped Computer labs wherein a total of 24 students participated excitedly from second and third year respectively. Harsh Vijay (2020) attained the first position, while Mayank Chaudhary (2021) and Shivansh Bhatnagar (2021) grabbed second and third position respectively.
THE SINGING FUN
Another Zero Hour activity held was Singing Competition that took place at the mini auditorium of SRMS CET&R for students of all batches. The theme of the event was ‘Bollywood Karaoke’, wherein students had to sing songs in line with the karaoke tune being played in the background. The task of the students was to match their voice notes and tones flawlessly in sync with the karaoke. This event was managed by Akansha Pandey, Coordinator of Raaga Club, under the guidance of club faculty coordinator Neha Sharma. A total of 13 students from second and third year participated with enthusiasm. Fatima Anab (2022), Simran Kumari (2022) and Harsh Gautam (2022) bagged the first, second and third prize respectively.
SPORTS EXTRAVAGANZA
Volleyball match was another Zero Hour activity held, wherein two teams of students–one of first and third year and another of second and fourth year participated. This event was managed by Aman Deep Singh, Coordinator of Aaveg Club, under the guidance of club’s sports faculty coordinators, KK Agarwal and Manmohan Singh Chauhan. After a grueling match, Vansh Mehrotra, Shekhar, Yash Saghwan, Anuj Gangwar, Mohd. Aquib and Saurabh remained the winners.
Later, winners of all the events were awarded with Certificate of Appreciation.
