ZERO HOUR ACTIVITIES: Make Each Day Your Masterpiece!

SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly conducted a ‘Zero Hour Activity’ on every Thursday in the month of October, to inculcate academic and creative skills in the students. Zero Hour activity provided a platform for the students to hone their talents and foster creativity & logical thinking to groom their personality. These activities surely added a pinch of adventure, a sprinkle of sunshine and a big handful of outdoor play. Some of the THURSDAY activities included:
CODING COMPETITION
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of SRMS CETR, Bareilly organized a college level Coding Competition for students of all batches in well-equipped Computer Labs. A total of 24 students of 2nd and 3rd year participated in the competition. Paramveer Singh (2020) and Shivam Pandey (2021) of B. Tech (CS) secured First position, while Udit Saxena (2020) and Shivansh (2021) scored Second position, whereas Tarun Saxena (2020), Sagar Pandey (2021) and Mathew (2021) grabbed Third place.
MONO ACT
Acting is a magical art! On these lines, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRMS CETR hosted ‘Mono Act’ as a Thursday activity for students of all batches. Nikhil Pandey, PM Exprimo Club Coordinator oversaw the event under the supervision of faculty coordinator Manmohan Singh Chauhan. This Mono Act was won by Yash Vardhan Gupta (2021) and Sagar Pandey (2021).
MOVIE SPOOF
Another Thursday Activity was organized by SRMS CET Verve Club that was a college-level movie spoof competition for students of all batches. It was a very refreshing and invigorating competition, wherein the participants were given a film or comedy scene to act, and the participants had to guess the film based on their performance.
SINGING COMPETITIONS
Singing is one of the most perfect means of expression. Keeping up with the same, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRMS CETR hosted a college-level Singing Competition for students of all batches in the Mini Auditorium. The competition’s theme was “Back to the 90s,” and students had to sing songs from that era, either solo or in duet. Akansha Pandey, Raaga Club Coordinator, undertook this event with the guidance of the club’s faculty coordinator, Neha Sharma. 13 students from 2nd and 3rd year participated enthusiastically, where in the winners were Sagar Pandey (2021) who grabbed the First position; Junaid Akhtar (2020) and Shivansh (2021) grabbed the Second position, and Pooja Arya (2021) grabbed the Third prize.
SRMS CETR congratulated all of the respective winners and presented them with Certificate of Appreciation. The zero-hour activity was liked by students, and many of them participated in a hope to learn something or the other, which would help them in their future endeavors.
