Actomania-Nukkad Natak and MINE Inter-school Competition at SRMSIBS

In India, the term “nukkad” refers to an emotional performance that people engage in to raise awareness of a certain issue among the general population. One of the first forms of storytelling, Nukkad Natak is a type of street play that is proudly linked to our incredible cultural history. It was used to engage and communicate with the general population on significant subjects.
The Inter-school Nukkad Natak and MIME Competition-Actomania is being held by Shri Ram Murti Smarak International Business School, Unnao, with the goal of introducing young minds to social consciousness, self-reliance, and teamwork. The event will provide a powerful platform for the showcase of creativity, humour, and artistic talent while also sending a clear social message.

Rules for the event

1.Nukkad Natak/Street Play:
❖Each team of minimum 10 members and a maximum o f 20 members.
❖Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
❖Time limit is 8 minutes to 15 minutes.
❖No music support.
 No electronic equipments are allowed.
❖Uniformity in dress is required.
❖Following props are allowed :
only dupattas,
hand-made posters,
calling bells,
drums,
steel plates are allowed.

2.Mime:
❖Each team of minimum 6 members and a maximum of 15 members.
❖Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
❖Time limit is 7 to 12 minutes.
❖Touching is prohibited

Judgments parameters:
The participants will be judged based on:

 Acting / Performance,

 Presentation / Visual Impact,
 Coordination / Teamwork,
 Creativity / Artistry and Confidence.
 Winners will be awarded with the trophies and Cash Prize:

Winner:5000 Rupees
1 st Runner Up :2500 Rupees
2 nd Runner Up:1500 Rupees

   Registrations will be accepted till 10.10.2023.
   No spot registrations are allowed.
   School ID Cards of the participants are mandatory.
   Participants should be of class XIth and XIIth standard only.
   Participant’s names should be sent on school letterhead.
