RENAISSANCE REIMAGINED: A FASHION SPECTACLE STEALS THE SHOW AT SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK TRUST INSTITUTIONS’ ‘ZEST 2023’!

In a dazzling showcase of talent & glamour, Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust Institutions Bareilly, in collaboration with Tyro Club of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) exhibited a Fashion Show titled ‘RENAISSANCE’ in its two-day cultural gala ‘ZEST 2023’ on theme Parakram —वृद्धि उपनिधि.

Revolving around the themes ‘Swadeshi — Khadi & Handloom’ & ‘Exploring Cultures’, the show was a mesmerizing fusion of creativity & tradition. The fashion spectacle began with introducing the main themes of event. Overall, five SRMS Colleges—CET, CETR, Paramedical, Nursing & IBS participated in Renaissance. In a gala show, SRMS CET Team showcased its creations on ‘Khadi: The Indian Fabric,’ wherein, participants rocked the stage with entertaining hook steps of Bollywood; gave an ode to Mahatma Gandhi’s Khadi movement & promoted ‘Sustainability’ & ‘Made in India’ campaign. A captivating moment unfolded with one of the participants, Alshifa, who captivated audience in Khadi based attire, donning heavy feathered wings as her prop.

Up next was CET’s theme ‘Around the World’ that was not less than a ride of different cultures around the world with representation of countries like Britain, France, Spain, South Korea, Arab, America, China & India. However, the show-stopper of evening was Mohd Faraz Khan, dressed in Indian clothing, who exhibited a fusion of fashion & cultural diversity.

All five teams presented diverse wedding & cultural outfits from different Indian states, which was a visual treat for everyone. Later, the winners were announced wherein Alshifa & Mohd Faraz Khan from CET stood FIRST in Renaissance—Girls & Boys category respectively. In Renaissance-Girl’s category, Annapurna from Nursing & Kritika Kumari from IBS grabbed second & third prize respectively, while CETR student Pooja Arya received consolation prize. In Boys category, Mohd Arif from CET & Shravan from IPS clinched second & third prize respectively & Akshat Gupta (CETR) got consolation prize.
