In collaboration with SRMS CET, Hunar – The Cultural Club@SRMS IBS Organised Garba Event on 20th October, 2023. Inculcating the sense of culture and unity is the essence of any Indian festival and Navratri is a portrait of colours, action, music and togetherness. As in the city, fun, dance and festivities were around the corner, SRMS Students: SRMS Nursing and SRMS IBS Students celebrated the much awaited event at SRMS CET Campus.
The day was a blend of perfect traditional attire the dolled –up look and Dancing Skills. The Event started with the ritual of Lighting of the Lamp. The Fun and frolic event commenced with the beats of a Garba Song dedicated to Goddess Durga. It was followed by Mesmerizing dance performance by the Nursing Students. There was a free dance round for all the students together.
The Event ended with Distribution of Awards such as –
BEST DRESSER – Male (Priyanshu Raj- SRMS IBS)
BEST DRESSER – Female (Riya – SRMS NPS)
BEST DANCER – Male (Utkarsh – SRMS NPS)
BEST DANCER – Female (Kajal Kumari Mishra – SRMS IBS)
BEST COUPLE Award- (Samima Khatoon and Sneha Kushwaha – SRMS IBS)
The charged-up atmosphere brought forth by the Garba Event was as much about paying reverence to all the nine forms of Mother Deities as it was about energising self and others to the extent that dancing barefoot connected one with the Goddess.
