Nukkad Natak, a form of street theatre known for its power to convey social messages, took centre stage at SRMS IBS on 23rd October, 2023. The event organized by the HUNAR-THE CULTURAL CLUB, proved to be an engaging and thought-provoking experience for the entire campus.
The SRMS IBS hostel ground was the perfect setting for this vibrant and impactful event. Under the clear blue skies, students, staff, and even passer by gathered to witness the talented performers who had prepared compelling stories and messages.
The theme of the Nukkad Natak revolved around pertinent social issues. The performances covered topics such as social media awareness, gender equalities & male exploitation, disability, superstition and drug addiction. Each act was carefully scripted and performed with passion, bringing to life the characters and situations that showcased these issues.
It exemplified the spirit of the institution to not only educate but also to foster responsible and socially conscious individuals. There were five teams participated in nukkad natak name UDGHOSH, KUDRISHTI, PAHAL, JOSH, and INFINITER, one team is also participated in MIME (on child abuse).
The event concluded with resounding applause and a sense of fulfilment with the distribution of certificate & medals the winner of the event was team KUDRISHTI and the second position was the draw between the team UDGHOSH and PAHAL.
