In a first across institutes in Lucknow, SRMS IBS had the privilege to get recognised for its ‘Campaign Blue’ event – an initiative to extend support to the Indian Team as they marched on for further glory in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup, 2023. The moment was the exclusive coverage by India’s leading media outlet, India Today TV/Aaj Tak for events under Campaign Blue: SRMS IBS Intra-Cricket Match Award Ceremony and Live Streaming of Team India’s match with Sri Lanka on November 2, 2023.
With a packed house including the inspiring presence of Respected Director, SRMS IBS, Prof. Shyamal Gupta, Faculty Members, and Students, the Special Correspondent/Bureau Chief of India Today TV/Aaj Tak for Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Abhishek Mishra went live on India Today TV, interacting with the Director, Faculty, and Students in a pre-match (India Vs Sri Lanka) show organised by the channel. With a charged up atmosphere amidst chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Go India Go’ in the background, it made for a compelling interaction.
Respected Director, Prof. Shyamal Gupta shared that ‘Campaign Blue’ had been operational since the last one month and was instrumental in connecting a chord with everyone on campus with its catchy slogan that read: Be the Glue FOR the Men in Blue aimed at garnering support base for Team India.

Faculty and student experiences of Campaign Blue (By The Cinemaniacs – Movie Club@SRMS IBS) were shot in an interactive manner and what that meant for India’s support cause at the World Cup. Further, the meaning and context of ‘Be the Glue FOR the Men in Blue’ slogan was revealed to Mr. Mishra. The event ended with strong nationalistic emotions running high for Team India as they strove to win the coveted cup.
