The inaugural ceremony of SRMS Riddhima: A Centre of Performing & Fine Arts commenced with the lighting of the lamp by a group of dignitaries – Hon’ble Chairman Shri Dev Murti Ji, Trust Secretary Mr. Aditya Murti, Mr. Devendra Khandelwal, Dr. Shyamal Gupta, and Dr. Shobha Rani Kudesia. The program was followed by Sarswati Vandana.
Er. Ashish Kumar formally welcomed all the dignitaries.
SRMS Riddhima: A Centre of Performing & Fine Arts is a tribute to Late Shri Ram Murti Ji for his special inclination towards art and culture by Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust. The main objectives of this centre are to preserve Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, the cultural heritage of Bareilly, and to attract the youth towards classical music (vocal and instrumental), classical dance, fine arts, drama and theatre.
At the event, Shri Dev Murti Ji addressed the importance of our culture and cultural heritage. Dr. Kudesia, Centre Head of the Institute, also delivered an address and spoke about the various courses offered at the Centre.
The event witnessed a few more performances including Ganesh Vandana, sitar recital, theatre, violin recital, vocal performances and Bharatnatyam performances that entertained and enlightened the audience. All the faculty members of the Centre presented a cultural program of around 90 minutes to introduce them with their performance. The event was followed by lunch and prasad distribution. Shri Dev Murti Ji then closed the event with a vote of thanks.
