Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust commemorated ‘36th Punyatithi’ of Late Shri Ram Murti Ji — a veteran freedom fighter, Former UP Minister & ex-Parliamentarian on OCTOBER 2, 2024 at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly , to pay tribute to his selfless service & commitment to nation-building.

The day began with paying heartfelt homage to Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri & Late Shri Ram Murti Ji, along with flag hoisting at all SRMS Trust Institutions (SRMS CET , SRMS CETR, SRMS IMS, SRMS Goodlife Hospital & SRMS Riddhima) by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust & Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary.

The ‘Shradhanjali Samaroh’ commenced with melodious musical performance by Gurus of SRMS Riddhima, followed by acknowledging prestigious ‘Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran’ to notable Dr Naresh, a litterateur, poet, author & Dr Arjumand Zaidi, a dedicated social worker by Shri Dev Murti, who highlighted Trusts’ achievements, including NBA accreditation to MBA Programme & installation of multiple Health ATMs & technological advancements at SRMSIMS.

Soon after, winners of Story Writing Contest & Debate Competition were felicitated with certificates & cash prizes. Shivani Karki got first prize in story-writing, while SRMS CET & The Guru School grabbed ‘Chal Vaijanti’ trophy in debate competition (senior & junior category each). Dr Apoorva Maheshwari received ‘Special Prize’ of Rs 2 Lakh for securing Rank 143 in NEET PG. The ceremony concluded with Distribution of Scholarships worth Rs 3.5 CRORES to meritorious students of SRMS Institutions — CET, CETR, IMS, IPS, NURSING & IBS Unnao. Towards the end, vote of thanks was delivered by Aditya Murti. The day also witnessed Voluntary Blood Donation Camps at SRMS CET & IMS, organized by Department of Transfusion Medicine, SRMSIMS.

The prestigious event was graced by Asha Murti & Usha Gupta- Trustees; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal CET; Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; Dr Bindu Garg, Dean UG; Shazil Islam Ansari, MLA Bhojipura block; Guru Mehrotra, Managing Director, Guru School; Dr Anurag Mohan, ex-principal Bareilly College & several others. The MOC was Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell.
