STUDENTS OF SRMS INSTITUTIONS SHOWCASE CULINARY SKILLS IN WORLD FOOD DAY COOKING COMPETITION!

Bringing together a diverse group of food lovers sharing their passion for food, SRMS College of Nursing, Bareilly marked World Food Day with Cooking Competition based on Antenatal diet for all SRMS Trust Institutions , which was held at Department of Hotel Management of SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly.

Centered on theme ‘Right to Food for a Better Life & Better Future,’ the competition was inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, Nursing College ; Dr Moushumi Banerjee, HOD & Sapna Thakur— Department of Hotel Management.

The competition focused on maternal health & nutrition with participation of students from SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), SRMS Nursing along with BHMCT of SRMS CETR. It was a wonderful platform for students to showcase their culinary skills, meeting the nutritional needs of pregnant women, particularly in terms of adequate protein, vitamins, and minerals for fetal growth.

Towards the end, winners received trophies & cooking sets, followed by an interaction session with judges — Dr Moushumi Banerjee & Dietitian Sonam Shukla, who assessed on the basis of nutrition in dished pertaining to antenatal care. However, FIRST position was grabbed by SRMS IMS (Sakshi Nigam, Priyanshi, Sakshi, Ayushipriya), while BHMCT students from CETR (Saloni Yadav, Preeti Kashyap, Suhani Shrivastava, Adarsh Kumar Gupta) and Nursing (Manas Tarun, Sakshi, Ishu, Simranjeet Kaur) clinched SECOND & THIRD positions respectively.
