World Diabetes Day

World Diabetes Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of diabetes as a global public health issue and what needs to be done, collectively and individually, for better prevention, diagnosis and management of the condition. Keeping up with this year’s theme of World Diabetes Day—‘Access to Diabetes Education’ that underpins the larger multi-year theme of ‘Access to Care’, SRMS College of Nursing Bareilly observed the day on November 14, 2022 to scale up an access to diabetes medicines and care, and raise awareness about the Diabetic Mellitus.
The program began with the invocation by Professor RintuChaturvedi, Principal at SRMS College of Nursing Bareilly. On this occasion, Faculty of Department of Pediatric Nursing and students of B. Sc Nursing (third year) organized the program and had put in great efforts. During the program, a seminar was conducted by B. Sc third year students. A ‘Role Play’ was enacted by B. Sc second year and third year students on the significance of World Diabetic Day, wherein students explained about diabetics, their clinical features, and provided brief information about preventive measures of diabetic mellitus. Quiz competition was also conducted during the event based on Diabetic Day, wherein Riya and Priya got 1st position. Vironica, a student of B. Sc third year proposed the vote of thanks in the end.
