“Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them”. On March 8, 2021 Social Media Club “LIVE WIRE” celebrated International Women’s Day. The event was co-ordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Ekta Rastogi. The campaign theme for this exceptional day was “Choose to Challenge”. A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. Purple and White are the colours of International Women’s Day. Purple signifies justice and dignity. Green symbolizes hope. So, here we are honouring, celebrating and standing up for all the women we know. The celebration began with enlivening speeches which was followed by a significant learning to all the students in which students were divided in groups and each group was given one successful women entrepreneur, on which they had to speak for about five minutesdescribing about the obstacles that were faced by them to achieve the success in their lives through charts and presentation. The champs in this astounding contest were Abhishek Pandey and Shreya Kesarwani. In the end we rewarded one of our female worker with gift hamper just to remind that her presence and her voice matters. Wish of having equal rights, equal pay, equal opportunities and equal respect. Equality is what we stand for.
