Mark’o Mania, the Marketing Club @ SRMS IBS organized the much awaited marquee event of 2024 – Marketing Warfare, with gusto on Saturday, 2nd march, 2024. In attendance were the luminaries, including, Respected Director, SRMS IBS, Prof. Shyamal Gupta; Respected Dean, SRMS IBS, Dr. Ashish Kumar; Respected Club Coordinators, Dr. Ashutosh Shukla and Ms. Fariya Parveen; Respected Faculty Members; Staff; and Students. Kicking-off the event, reverence to MAA SARASWATI with lamp-lighting paved the way for a marketing bonanza that mesmerized everyone with its grandeur and sparkle.

What transpired in the event had a back story of immense hard work and toil of one month prior to the show. Stalls were put up near the flag area for thorough evaluation on a host of parameters not least the product/item sold. With teams slugging it out for positioning on social media much before the ground, the competitive spirit was to be seen to be believed. The criteria for evaluation was done on the basis of Store Design, Mascot, Brand Logo, Tagline, Jingle, Product-Mix Packaging and Labelling, and Brand Engagement.

The event saw participation from seven teams, namely, The Brown Obsession; Moon Caf’fe; Bites in Brew-Land; Cosmic Crunch; Lunchiverse; Grin & Grill; and Vinteza. All the teams sold their stuff/food products at reasonable prices much to everybody’s contentment. The final standings for the event were as follows:
3rd prize went to Team Bites in Brew-Land
2nd prize went to Team Vinteza 
1st prize went to Team  Grin &Grill

The Club distributed the certificates to the Team Leaders on the criteria of best promotion; best product-mix; best product quality; and best brand engagement. In addition, a cash prize given to each participating team by Respected Director, SRMS IBS, Prof. Shyamal Gupta provided immense motivation for the deserving students. With variety in products at its core and with marketing strategies as diverse as chalk and cheese, the event captured the imagination of one and all. The event was a runaway success, setting the bar high for the next edition in 2025.
