On 16 October, SRMS IBS organized an industrial visit to the manufacturing depot of Indian Railways located in Alambagh, Lucknow.
Meeting various officials, students could learn about their roles and responsibilities and gain insights on how they work to ensure the best possible results. Students were taken around the place to look at the mechanical outfits and to see how manufacturing actually takes place. They visited workshops where railway coaches are built and where they are painted. Students could see how each task is planned and executed and why everything needs to function with precision. They could understand how every piece, however small, needs to fall in place for an organization to be profitable. They also learnt about the large-scale jobs and employment opportunities provided by Indian Railways. In all, the visit led to considerable exposure, experience, and learning.
