SRMS RIDDHIMA—A CENTRE OF PERFORMING AND FINE ART Sorganized a two-day ‘Kathak Workshop’ titled ‘Abhinaya Based on Chaiti’ recently that was led byKathak exponents Padma Shri awarded, Nalini-Kamalini ji—the true cultural ambassadors in the field of India Classical Dance, who are in the Advisory Panel of SRMS Riddhima. The duo nurtured the students in the art form of Kathak.
The two-day workshop that was inaugurated by Richa Murti, Director at SRMS Goodlife Hospital, was well organized and equipped, and a great opportunity for the students to learn the nuances direct from the Kathak Maestros of national and international fame. The workshop was full of exciting activities and learning opportunitieswith the renowned Kathak duo sharing their insights, tips and techniques, and personal experiences with the learners. Around 50 dance enthusiasts comprising of children, youngsters, adults and working professionals got an opportunity to learnintricate and beautiful footwork and hand gestures, where Nalini-Kamalini also shared the history and culture behind this great dance form.
Sharing her wonderful experience of attending the workshop, Dr Tripti Verma, a dance enthusiast said, “It was an incredible experience that I will never forget! I had a fantastic time at the workshop and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning Kathak.
