On account of World Cancer Day on February 4, RR Cancer Institute & Research Centre at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly is organizing a ‘SURVIVAL MEET’—A Noble Event for a Cause, at SRMS Alakhnanda Staff Club of SRMS Trust on February 4, 2023, wherein the Survivors of Cancer-treated at SRMS IMS, who emerged as winners after battling their life against deadly disease, will be greeted, felicitated and celebrated for their strength and perseverance on achieving this great milestone. The noble meet shall also bring the kith and kin of the cancer survivors together, followed bya delightful interactive session with the survivors.
The day will be marked as a celebration of the survivor’s happy and joyful second innings of life, with a hope for their bright future, and to demonstrate the fact that life after a cancer diagnosis can be a reality. The grand event shall be presided by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Aditya Murti, Director, Trust Administration; Dr Piyush Agarwal, HOD Department of Radiation Oncology in the presence of HODs of all departments, faculties and members of SRMS Institutions.
The 8 Cancer Survivors to be honored and celebrated includes Shakuntala Devi (Moradabad), Lily Singh (Haldwani), Vimla Devi (Haldwani), Mohd Miya (Old City, Bareilly), Chanda Ansari (Pilibhit), Rajeshwari Devi (CB Ganj, Bareilly), Santosh Kumari (Subhashnagar, Bareilly) and Shakeela Begum (Shahjahanpur).
