11th INSPIRE program at SRMS CET, Bareilly brings together leading academics and over 200 school students from across the state

SRMS CET, Bareilly recently organized the much awaited annual program that aims to motivate Class XI students who have scored more than 90% marks in their 10th board examinations. The 11th edition of INSPIRE was held in the presence of leading names from industry and academia. It also brought together over 200 students from schools like S.K.I.C. Nawabganj, Bareilly, White Hall Public School, Rampur, and M.D. Jain Inter College, Agra. With a range of academic and extra curricular activities, the five-day program achieved its goal to inspire and bring the best out of students.

Through INSPIRE, SRMS Trust offered a platform where experts from several streams shared their experiences with students. Some of the top names included Mr. Dhruvsen Singh (Center of Advanced Study in Zoology, LKO University), Mr Santosh Kumar (Department of Zoology, Kumaon University), Professor S.K. Dogra (Honorary Scientist, Indian National Science Academy), Dr. Dinesh Kumar Saxena (Emeritus Professor, Department of Botany – Bareilly College), Mr R.B. Bapat (Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi), and Dr. Prabhakar Gupta (Dean Academics, SRMS CET, Bareilly).

Shri Aditya Murti (Secretary, SRMS Trust), Professor Ratish Agarwal, and Dr. Zalil Singh were the eminent dignitaries present for the inauguration of the program. Dr. Ankita Tandon (Asst. Professor – Faculty of Management Sciences) discussed the motive behind the program, while Dr. Prabhakar Gupta (Dean Academics, SRMS CET, Bareilly) shared an overview of what it would cover over the five days. Professor Ratish Agarwal emphasized on the importance of students getting involved in research for developing our nation.

In his speech Shri Aditya Murti talked about the significance of working together: as professionals one has to network and be a good team player to get the best results. Alongside, we need to respect people from all backgrounds and beliefs. The speech set the tone for the program which saw participation of academicians from BHU, Lucknow University, and other reputed institutions. The discussion on a variety of subjects – from Chemistry and Zoology to Electronics and Environmental Science – and their relevance made the program an enriching experience for all. Extracurricular activities involving dance, songs, and poetry added to the engagement level of students.
