SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES MARKS 11 GLORIOUS YEARS OF IVF EXCELLENCE WITH HEALTH-CHECK FOR CHILDREN & AWARENESS TALKS

Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly in collaboration with Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology commemorates 11 glorious years of IVF Treatment at SRMS IMS on World IVF Day (July 25).

The day began with health check-ups for children, awareness talks on IVF, its procedures & infertility issues. In her welcome address, Dr Parul Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology highlighted milestones achieved in IVF treatment. Later, a panel discussion took place on myths surrounding IVF with specialists Dr Shashi Bala Arya, Professor & Head; Professor Dr Ruchica Goel; Professor Dr Mridu Sinha; along with Dr (Brig)Vandana Negi, Head, Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology. As World IVF Day also coincides with World Embryologist Day, Dr Komal Singh Bisht, an Embryologist at IMS emphasized upon meticulous care & support provided during IVF treatments here.
Thereafter, PG & MBBS students presented a poem on unparalleled feelings of being a mother. Soon after, parents/ couples being treated with IVF, shared their journeys of parenthood while experiencing world-class IVF facilities at IMS.

Earlier, Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust distributed gift hampers to children in the presence of Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr (Col) RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG; Dr (Col) Manoj Kumar Tangri, Gynae-Oncologist; Dr SK Sagar, Professor & Head, Department of General Surgery; Professor Dr Piyush Kumar, Director, RR Cancer Institute etc.

As a part of ongoing celebrations, SRMSIMS is hosting an ‘Infertility & IVF Camp’ from August 1-3, (9 AM to 2 PM) at the IVF OPD of SRMS Hospital. This special camp will continue on the 1st to 3rd of every month.
