The department has been providing care to the needs of ENT patients in general as well as imparting highly specialized tertiary services. The department has a well & equippedaudiology and neuro-otology to lab carrying out various investigations like pure tone audiometry, impedance audiometry, brain stem evoked response audiometry, otoacousticemissions, electronystagmography etc. Rehabilitationin the form of hearing aids and speech therapy is provided to the patients under care of trained audiologist and speech therapist.

The department is empanelled for cochlear implantationunder ADIP scheme of government of India and State Government Cochlear Implant programme.In this programme Implant surgery is performed free of cost for the children under 5yrs of age having profound hearing loss.Prior to the empanelment,the SRMS Neonatal Deafness Screening Programme is being run for the past 8 years in the department. Moreover, the department is actively participating the National Deafness control program. All the newborns at our hospital undergo Hearing Screening use a portable Otoacoustic Emission system which aims to prevent lifelong hearing speech and language disabilities. Till date around 8000 neonates have been screened under this programme.

High end microscopic ear surgeries, Endoscopic Sino nasal surgeries, maxillofacial trauma surgeries, skull base surgeries, Reconstructive surgeries likeRhinoplasty and Otoplastyare routinely performed in the department using state of the art world class equipment's. The department is one of the major centers for head and neck cancer surgeries, reconstruction, and rehabilitation in north India. This is aided by various investigative techniques available like fiberoptic nasopharyngolaryngoscopy, narrow band imaging and vediolaryngostroboscopy. We are always eager to spread our presence in different avenues and fulfil any responsibility entrusted upon us. Our department has been at forefront in academic research activities including publications in reputed journals, CME's and workshops.
