Dr Tangri holds an illustrious background, being the pioneer and highly skilled first Gynae Onco-Surgeon of the Rohilkhand and Kumaon regions. His exceptional expertise has been honed through various achievements, including being a Gold Medalist from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. His services have been well recognized by various awards he has received while on deputation with United Nations at Democratic Republic of Congo (Africa). He completed his Fellowship in Gynae Oncology from the reputed Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai, further cementing his position as a leader in this specialized field.
For his distinguished services, he has been honoured by President of India Appreciation & Chief of Defense Staff Commendation while serving as Head of the Department at prestigious Army Hospital (R & R) Delhi Cantonment.
