For Ram Kumar from Puranpur, what began as a simple fever soon turned into a life-altering shock, a diagnosis of severe kidney damage. While the family grappled with fear and uncertainty, his youngest brother, Vikram, made a selfless, life-changing decision to donate his kidney and give his brother the gift of life.
The family searched far and wide, from Lucknow to other cities, but answers felt out of reach. That’s when they arrived at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, where hope finally took root. Under the expert care of Dr (Prof) Sanjay Kumar, Consultant Nephrologist & Kidney Transplant Physician, and the dedicated medical team, a successful kidney transplant was performed, marking a turning point in Ram Kumar’s life.
