CAN YOU CATCH CANCER BY TOUCH? SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences Clear the Myths!
Cancer is not contagious. It doesn’t spread by touch, sharing space, or showing care. What does spread is awareness, early detection, and hope…
This World Cancer Day (Feb 4, 2026), SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, marks 19 years of dedicated cancer care by standing up for facts over fear, and action over silence. Let’s replace fear with facts, and stigma with support.
From 5–7 February, RR Cancer Institute and Research Centre, at SRMS IMS is organizing a Cancer Screening Camp, reinforcing its commitment to early diagnosis and accessible treatment. As part of this initiative, a 15% concession on cancer investigations prescribed by specialists (excluding PET scan) is being offered, because timely screening can save lives.
Beyond treatment, we believe in breaking myths, supporting patients with dignity, and reminding families that cancer can be faced, and fought ‘together’.
Our impact so far speaks for itself:
45,000+ cancer consultations | 11,000+ radiotherapy sessions |
11,500+ cancer surgeries | 29,000+ chemotherapy treatments |
3,500+ brachytherapy procedures | 8,500+ PET-CT scans
