Taking another significant leap in advanced nephrology services, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly, has strengthened its commitment to patient-first healthcare with the installation and inauguration of two new dialysis machines within the Nephrology wards, enabling dialysis to be performed at the patient’s bedside whenever required.
This landmark initiative transforms the way dialysis care is delivered at SRMS IMS. Until now, admitted patients often needed to be shifted to the dialysis unit of SRMS IMS for treatment. With these dedicated ward-based dialysis facilities, critically ill, ICU and emergency patients can now receive life-saving dialysis without leaving their ward, ensuring faster intervention, greater and smarter comfort and enhanced clinical safety.
For patients battling kidney failure, where every moment is precious, this advancement minimizes delays, reduces the risks associated with patient movement and allows medical teams to begin treatment without interruption.
The newly established ward-based dialysis facility was inaugurated by Aditya Murti, Director Administration, SRMS IMS, in the presence of Dr MS Butola, Principal SRMS IMS ; Prof Dr Sanjay Kumar, HOD, Department of Nephrology ; Prof Dr Vidya Nand, Consultant Nephrologist ; Dr RP Singh, MS ; and members of the Dialysis Department.
