375+ PEOPLE. 3 DAYS. ONE IMPORTANT CHOICE: DON’T WAIT TO GET SCREENED | #CancerSeAzadi AT SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES

The 3-day #CancerSeAzadi Cancer Screening Camp at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly has come to a close, and the response has been truly encouraging…
Over 375 people came forward for cancer screening over these three days, choosing to be aware, get checked and take timely action rather than wait for symptoms to appear. Of these 375+ screenings, around 170 were identified as suspected cancer cases, with Breast, Oral and Lung cancers accounting for the higher share, followed by suspected cases related to Pancreatic, Prostate and other cancers.
Held from August 12–14 as part of Independence Day #CancerSeAzadi campaign, the camp by RR Cancer Institute & Research Centre, SRMS IMS, Bareilly offered free consultations with Cancer Specialists, free cancer screening tests & 50% OFF on other prescribed investigations
The final day also marked an important step towards making conversations around women’s breast health more open and comfortable, with the inauguration of a dedicated Breast Cancer Clinic by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, in the presence of Aditya Murti, Director, Administration; Dr RP Singh (MS); Dr Piyush Kumar, Radiation Oncologist & Director, RR Cancer Institute, along with department heads, doctors, faculty members and others. Recognizing that many women may hesitate to speak openly about breast-related concerns, the clinic will be operational every Friday, 10 AM–2 PM, offering comfortable, sensitive and trusted consultations with a female Clinical Oncologist.
Haven’t screened yet? Don’t wait for a symptom. Take that first step towards #CancerSeAzadi.
