In a landmark step for emergency and trauma care in India, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly is proud to launch the inaugural TEAM™ – Trauma Evaluation and Management Course, certified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), on February 11, 2026.
Organised by Department of Emergency Medicine & Trauma, at SRMS IMS, this achievement places SRMS IMS among an elite league, becoming only the 3rd centre in the country, after SGPGI, Lucknow & JIPMER, Puducherry to conduct this globally recognised course.
The TEAM™ course, developed by leading international trauma experts, equips medical and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals with critical skills to assess, prioritise and manage trauma patients during the ‘Golden Hour’, the most decisive window where timely intervention can mean the difference between life and death. The course integrates interactive lectures, real-world trauma case discussions, and updated best practices aligned with upcoming Advanced Trauma Life Support® (ATLS®) 11th edition, along with insights from the ACS Stop the Bleed bystander response program.
Adding global expertise to this milestone, the course will be led by Prof (Dr) Mayur Narayan, Rutgers University, USA, as the Course Director.
