GIFT OF LIFE, GIFT OF GRATITUDE: SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES BLOOD DONATION CAMP CELEBRATES 24 YEARS WITH HEARTFELT SERVICE TO SOCIETY

On its 24th Foundation Day, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly leads by example—turning celebration into service

In a heartfelt tribute to its journey of 23 impactful years in healthcare, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, chose to honour its 24th Foundation Day not with fanfare, but with a selfless gesture of giving back to the society it serves. A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised in collaboration with SRMS IMS Blood Center & Department of Transfusion Medicine, reaffirming the institute’s core values of compassion, care, humanity and community service.

With 40 units of life-saving blood collected, the drive became a living symbol of how every drop counts and every donor becomes a silent hero. Adding to the spirit of the day, Richa Murti, Director, SRMS Goodlife Hospital; Dr Yogesh Kumar Chhetty, Professor & Head, Emergency Medicine & Trauma; along with multiple doctors and staff members, stepped forward with overwhelming enthusiasm to donate blood and inspire others to do the same.

“This initiative is not just about donating blood; it’s about igniting hope”, said Dr Milan Jaiswal, Professor & Head, Department of Transfusion Medicine.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, who also felicitated the donors with appreciation certificates and thoughtful gift hampers. The occasion was further graced by Trustee Asha Murti; Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; Devisha Murti and other dignitaries “Celebrating our Foundation Day through a blood donation drive reflects our true purpose-to heal, to help, and to serve,” shared Aditya Murti, echoing the collective vision of SRMS family.
