In a run-up to its 23RD FOUNDATION DAY on July 4, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS) FREE CANCER SCREENING & AWARENESS WEEK from JULY 1-6, 2024 (9AM to 2PM daily) is going on in full swing with great community engagement. However, pioneering early detection & treatment, each day has been dedicated to different types of Cancers like Cervix Cancer, Breast Cancer, Oral Cavity Cancer, Lung Cancer, Colon Cancer & Prostate Cancer.

On this account, DR. (COL) GUNJAN MALHOTRA, Mrs India Subcontinent 2024 & Ex-Senior Gynecologist at Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi, who is herself a Breast Cancer Survivor, visited the IMS Campus, delivered an awareness talk, and shared her incredible journey of courage and victory over Breast Cancer. Her message resonated deeply, inspiring many to adopt a proactive stance towards health & wellness with thorough knowledge & early intervention.

The day unfolded with impactful sessions. In a candid conversation with us, Dr Gunjan Malhotra, having 24 years of distinguished service as Ex- Senior Gynecologist, quoted, “The most important aspect is self-breast examination, early diagnosis & treatment options. One must keep hope, positive mindset, unyielding spirit with ‘never give-up attitude’ & stay strong with resilience, while dispelling myths about cancer.”
