National Mathmatics Day Celebration at SRMS CETR Campus

National Mathematics Day was celebrated at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Engineering Technology & Research, Bareilly on 22 Dec,2021. It is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Indian mathematical genius Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, in recognition of his contribution to mathematics. The Mathematics day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situation and also to create students interest in studying the Mathematics.

Respected Dean Academics Er Ankur Kumar , Chief Proctor Dr. Rajeev Kumar Pandey congratulated the Department of Basic Sciences for celebrating this day and highlighted the importance of Mathematics in engineering and other fields. Er. Krishan Kumar Agrawal, DSW of the Department of Basic Sciences thanked the students and faculty members and emphasised that such events help in popularising mathematics in Science and Engineering. During this celebration there were two expert lectures, by Dr. Rajeev Kumar Pandey, Chief Proctor, Department of Basic Sciences, SRMS CET&R, Bareilly on applications of Ramanunjan’s Number (1729) also coined as Taxicab number or Ramanunjan – Hardy Number and by Er. Shoaib Yusuf, Department of Mathematics, SRMSCET&R, Bareilly, who highlighted the importance of Mathematics and Mathematical modelling in various Engineering disciplines ranging from Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace and Geotechnical engineering.

National Mathmatics Day 1

A Mathematical session was also organised for the students of B.Tech 1st & 2nd year for sharing their views about Srinivasa Ramanujan as a part of National Mathematics Day celebrations. As part of the celebrations talk on Mathematics were organized and conducted by Er. Neha Sharma , Er.Sachin Raj Saxena, Er. Arun Saho. Approx 100 Students participated in the programme . The programme was enjoyed by the participants and other students. The students participated in the programmes with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the programme.
