Another Entrepreneur From SRMS Family
SRMS Trust run institutions inculcate independent thinking in their students. The result of this is that many students go on to set up their own ventures. One of our alumina from 2010 EC Batch Ms. Parul Maurya has initiated a startup “TRICKS GROUP.CO.IN”, which is an online learning platform.
It is often seen these days that many people set up their ventures just because it is fashionable to be called an entrepreneur. Ms. Parul Maurya on the other hand has tried to truly identify a genuine need of society and worked to do something about it. She has identified the issues youngsters face while preparing for competitive examinations. Most of the students preparing for competitive exams are not aware about the source from where that examination material is drafted. Since this is a key revenue driver, most websites and learning platforms withhold complete solutions and charge students registration/access fees for it.
Realizing this issue Ms. Parul Maurya has developed a website completely dedicated to students preparing for competitive exams and hand-holding them right from pre-examination time to post-examination, including assessment and self-evaluation. Her platform mainly focuses on providing short cuts to students by which problems could be solved in less time and this in turn helps the students to crack the examinations. This website is designed in the most simplified manner avoiding technical jargons which is difficult to understand for an average student. It not only shares full content but also the links from where material has been designed and also offers practical sets for practice. Although this website is still under development, various government bodies and NGOs are ready to support the startup.
Ms. Parul Maurya spoke with SRMS Trust about what inspired here.
“The purpose behind the website was to facilitate students who are preparing for exams like SSC-CGL, IBPS, RRBs and other competitive exams, with math, reasoning tricks and General Studies. Moreover, I wanted that students should not face the same problems that I did while sifting through online exam materials. That’s why my website http://www.tricksgroup.co.in/ is a one stop platform for competitive exam preparation. My website is being liked by students across India on social networking websites and I’m very keen to provide the best materials for competitive exams. I am also dealing with online projects and provide the training in the field of IT and Banking sector.
The lure of a corporate career was just absent in me and entrepreneurship is something I was always keen on. All this was possible due to the inspiration I received during my 4 years of education at SRMS CET&R. I was not a meritorious student but I always loved studying few selected topics in great depth and exploring different ways of solving the same problem. My institute always supported me and helped me in doing what I wanted to.
Incubation & Research Cell at SRMS CET&R helped me a lot in this exercise. My teachers motivated, inspired and mentored me. Of course individual will and hard work are the main pillars behind such kind of entrepreneurship journeys but right environment always boosts the will further and that’s what happened in my case.
Today I am successfully running this portal and looking forward to its further expansion especially adding multiple domains and links for the ease of students preparing for different types of competitive examination.
