‘FIT INDIA WEEK’ WITH A THRILLING MIX OF FITNESS FRENZY EVENTS!
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly conducted ‘FIT INDIA WEEK’ recently at its CETR campus. Aligned with Government of India’s Fit India Movement Campaign, Fit India Week featured exciting activities such as Hosteller Cricket League, Poster Presentation & Basketball Match.
The event kicked off with ‘HOSTELLER CRICKET LEAGUE’ wherein four hostel teams namely Phoenix Warriors, Royal Successors, Royal Challengers & The Thunderbolts participated and displayed standout performances. After fierce competition in pre-finals, the final match unfolded between Royal Successors & Phoenix Warriors, wherein Vishal Singh scored highest runs & Phoenix Warriors set the target of 53 runs with loss of 1 wicket in 6 overs. Finally, Royal Successors successfully chased the target with zero loss of wicket & won the match.
The four-day fitness celebration continued with ‘POSTER PRESENTATION’ with participation of 15 students, who presented their ideas through attractive posters on theme ‘Inspiring Fitness & Wellness in daily life’. This was followed by a thrilling ‘BASKETBALL MATCH’, targeted for girl students only that witnessed enthusiastic participation of first- & third-year students of B Tech (CS). Amongst Team A & B, ‘Team A’ comprising of Ishika, Vandita, Bhumika, Ankita & Swati won the match by 6 points. The day culminated with giving away of trophies to winners in the presence of Dr LS Maurya, Principle CETR; Dr Rajeev Kumar Pandey, Chief Proctor; Er Ankit Khandelwal, DSW & several others.
