With the spirit of freedom & love for the nation, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), SRMS College of Nursing & SRMS College of Law, Bareilly celebrated 78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY with great enthusiasm, national pride & unity.
The event began with a floral tribute to Late Shri Ram Murti ji and our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. This was followed by ceremonial flag hoisting by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Er Subhash Mehra; Trust Advisor; Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR;, Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, SRMS Nursing College etc.
The college choir of SRMS CETR sang the national anthem, filling the air with patriotic fervour. The I-Day celebrations further continued with series of performances, which kicked-off with a stirring patriotic song by Pranav Dubey, B Tech (CS) student from CETR. Sakshi Singh from Law college recited a poignant poem, honouring the heroes of our nation. Thereafter, Nursing students sang melodious patriotic songs. However, Abhinav Agnihotri, B Tech (CS) student from CETR concluded the performances with a heartfelt poem. MOC’s—Anshuman Singh & Rubaldeep Kaur from Nursing college ensured the smooth functioning of the event.
In the end, Shri Dev Murti extended Independence Day wishes to everyone & appreciated the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, which further encouraged students to channel their energy toward nation-building. Dr LS Maurya also urged students to stay united, work hard and remain positive. Later, a vote of thanks was delivered by Kumari Riya, President of Caring Hands Club, Nursing College. Overall, this historical day not only commemorated the nation’s freedom, but also reinforced the values of unity, patriotism & academic excellence that SRMS institutions stand for.
