SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE HOSTS INTERNAL HACKATHON FOR ‘SMART INDIA HACKATHON (SIH) 2024’, SHOWCASING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS ACROSS MULTIPLE DOMAINS

Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly recently conducted one-day Internal Hackathon for SIH (Smart India Hackathon) 2024 to shortlist & nominate teams to compete at National Level SIH, which is going to be organized by Ministry of Education, Government of India; MoE’s Innovation Cell, Government of India & AICTE. This college-level internal hackathon at SRMS CETR was an opportunity for students to solve real-world challenges faced by private sector organizations and craft innovative ideas & world-class solutions.

After thorough evaluation, four teams were shortlisted for participation in the 7th edition of SIH-2024, who were adjudged by Assistant Professors of CSE Department —Shadab Hussain & Neha Sharma; and Dr Bhoopendra Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of Basic Sciences. However, the team leaders from B Tech (CS) branch, who qualified for the upcoming SIH 2024 were Shivam Pandey (Batch 2021), Shikhar Agarwal (Batch 2022), Shikhar Mehrotra (Batch 2023) & Mohd Kashif (2024) with their respective team members.

This internal hackathon was a team-based competition with each team comprising six members from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Teams tackled diverse problem statements across various themes such as #SmartAutomation, #FitnessandSports, #HeritageandCulture, #Medtech/Biotech/Healthtech, #AgricultureFoodtech #RuralDevelopment, #SmartVehicles, #Transportation #Logistics, #RoboticsandDrones, #SpaceTechnology, #CleanandGreenTechnology, #TravelandToursim, #Renewable/Sustainable Energy, #BlockchainandCyberSecurity, #SmartEducation, #DisasterManagement, #ToysandGames, #SmartResourceConservation, #Miscellaneous.
