SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE MARKS NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY WITH SYMPOSIUM HONOURING SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN

The Department of Basic Science at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)- SRMS CETR hosted a symposium on National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The webinar, led by Dr Sanjay Kumar , Assistant Professor, Department of Basic Science, CETR, engaged first & second-year students of B Tech (CS) in an inspiring session on life & contributions of renowned mathematical genius. Thereafter, Naseen Hassan Khan, Assistant Professor gave an insightful demonstration of Ramanujan paradox, highlighting his groundbreaking contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory and his innovative approaches to calculating the value of pi. The session also shed light on brief life span of the genius, highlighting his profound work underpinned by a humble lifestyle, which was quite inspirational for the attendees. Towards the end, vote of thanks was delivered by Krishna Kumar Agarwal, HOD, Basic Science Department.
