Advancing pediatric anaesthesia through hands-on clinical mastery, expert insights, and future-ready medical training, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly successfully concluded SRMS Pedia Safe Anaesthesia Update 2026 organized by Department of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Management on the theme: “From Concepts to Clinical Skills: Learn, Practice and Perform.”
The academic update was graced by Chief Patron Shri Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust); Patrons Aditya Murti (Director Administration, SRMS IMS) and Dr MS Butola (Principal, SRMS IMS), alongside Dr SK Sagar (Dean PG), Dr Bindu Garg (Dean UG), HODs, faculty members, and resident doctors.
Bringing together leading experts from across the country, enriching sessions were delivered by Prof Dr Anshu Gupta (Director & HOD, Department of Pediatric & Neonatal Anaesthesia, LHMC Delhi) on “Pediatric Airway: Anatomy and Challenges”; Prof Dr Mukul Kumar Jain (HOD, Pediatric Anesthesiology, PGICH Noida) on “Pre-operative Assessment and Preparation in Children” & Dr Reena (Associate Professor, BHU Varanasi) on “Management in Pediatrics Emergency.”
Eminent faculty from Yathartha Super Specialty Hospital, Noida elevated the academic experience wherein Dr Shipra Singh (Senior Consultant) spoke on “Regional Anaesthesia in Pediatrics”; Dr Anshuman Mishra (Director, Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine) discussed “Lower Limb and Truncal Block in Children”; Dr Jasmeet Gill (Associate Consultant) on “Central Neuraxial Block in Childrenl”; Dr Apurva Sadhoo (Senior Consultant) addressed “Fluid Therapy and Blood Transfusion in Pediatrics”; while Dr Ashish Kumar (Senior Consultant) on “Brachial Plexus Block in Children.” The programme included interactive hands-on workstation training sessions for practical skill enhancement.
