BAREILLY’S SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES brings HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY (HBOT) to UTTAR PRADESH: MORE OXYGEN. MORE HEALING. MORE POSSIBILITIES!

- Life-Limb-Tissue Saving Treatment | Treats Anaerobic Infections, Chronic Wounds & Carbon Monoxide Poisoning | Supports Recovery in burns, trauma & gangrene | Boosts Immunity & Reduces Inflammation
- Specialized applications in high-altitude environments and aviation/flying personnel, including conditions related to sudden changes in pressure such as decompression sickness.
SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly has inaugurated its Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facility, a first-of-its-kind facility in Uttar Pradesh, adding an important advanced treatment option to specialized patient care.
The facility is part of SRMS Trust’s ₹7-crore Annual Medical Research Grant, supporting life-saving therapies, rare diseases, preventive healthcare, advanced technology and research for better patient outcomes.
HBOT is not simply about giving oxygen. Inside a specially designed chamber that is multi-placed and can accommodate around 5-6 patients at a time under supervised clinical care, patients breathe 100% pure oxygen under higher-than-normal air pressure, allowing more oxygen to reach tissues affected by injury, disease or poor blood flow and supporting the body’s natural healing process.
Additionally, it can be medically indicated for non-healing and diabetic wounds, serious tissue injuries, certain severe infections, burns, trauma, gangrene, radiation-related tissue damage, various cancers, compromised grafts and carbon monoxide poisoning, with applications across Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology and trauma care.
However, for patients who need more oxygen delivered to where healing is needed most, timely access to HBOT can make a meaningful difference.
If HBOT has been recommended for you or someone you know, consult a qualified specialist to understand whether it is appropriate for the condition.
