The 9th SRMS PULMOCRIT Conference 2026, themed “Critical Care Beyond Boundaries: Transforming Critical Care in Resource-Limited Settings,” brought four days of intensive learning, expert exchange and memorable moments from SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, to Jim Corbett, Ramnagar.
The conference opened with Mechanical Ventilation, POCUS and Nursing Critical Care workshops, hands-on learning and academic sessions, followed by its grand inauguration on 25 September by Chief Guest His Excellency Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, in the presence of Shri Dev Murti, Founder & Chairman, SRMS Trust; Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Dr (Air Marshal) MS Butola (Retd.), Principal, SRMS IMS; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; senior dignitaries and Dr Lalit Singh, Organizing Secretary .
The journey then moved to Jim Corbett, Ramnagar, continuing with Plenary and Thematic Sessions and bringing together critical care experts and delegates from across India. A major highlight was the prestigious SRMS Oration Awards presented to Dr Syed Moied Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, Al-Karim University, Katihar; Dr Ranvir Singh Tyagi, National President, ISCCM & Chancellor, Indian College of Critical Care Medicine; and Dr Narendra Rungta, Past President, ISCCM National & National Chairman, Critical Care Chapter, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, recognizing their distinguished contributions to critical care.
Adding to the four-day experience were cultural gala evenings and dinners at SRMS IMS, Bareilly, and Ramnagar, celebrating camaraderie alongside academic excellence. From a grand inauguration at SRMS IMS to two immersive days at Jim Corbett, Ramnagar, PULMOCRIT 2026 concluded on a high note, bringing together expertise, hands-on learning, meaningful conversations and collaboration, truly living up to its theme.
