PULMOCRIT 2026 KICKS OFF at SRMS INSTITUTE of MEDICAL SCIENCES with a POWER-PACKED DAY 1; GRAND INAUGURATION TOMORROW by HON’BLE GOVERNOR of JHARKHAND SANTOSH KUMAR GANGWAR
The four-day 9th SRMS PULMOCRIT CONFERENCE 2026 (September 24-27), focused on ‘Critical Care Beyond Boundaries: Transforming Critical Care in Resource-Limited Settings’, got off to an impressive start today at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, bringing together leading medical professionals and critical care specialists from across the country.
While the four-day conference has already begun on a high note, tomorrow (September 25) promises to be an even more special day. The conference will witness its grand inauguration tomorrow in the presence of His Excellency Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, as the Chief Guest. His presence will add a significant dimension to this gathering of the country’s critical care fraternity and makes the inaugural ceremony one of the much-awaited highlights of PULMOCRIT 2026. Shri Dev Murti, Founder & Chairman, SRMS Trust shall preside over the inaugural ceremony.
However, the Day 1 was packed with an engaging scientific programme, with clinicians and experts coming together for insightful discussions, practical learning and hands-on workshops addressing some of the most relevant challenges in contemporary critical care. Among the key highlights were workshops on Mechanical Ventilation, Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Nursing Critical Care (NCC), along with several other academic sessions designed to bridge knowledge with real-world clinical practice.
As PULMOCRIT 2026 moves into its next phase, the focus remains firmly on learning, collaboration and transforming critical care, especially where resources are limited and every clinical decision matters.
