SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK HOSPITAL TO FELICITATE #CANCERSURVIVOR VIJAY PAL ON WORLD CANCER DAY
In the pursuit of WORLD CANCER DAY on February 4, RR Cancer Institute & Research Centre at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly is coming up with a felicitation gathering of ‘Cancer Survivors’ at SRMS Alakhnanda Staff Club on February 3, 2024.
The significant event shall witness some of the Cancer Survivors, being treated at SRMS IMS, who emerged as winners after conquering this formidable foe. Celebrating hope, unity & triumph of human spirit over adversity, cancer survivors will be greeted & felicitated for their strength & perseverance.
One such #CancerSurvivor, VIJAY PAL from Moradabad, UP, who was diagnosed with Cancer of Parotid Gland in 2012, says, “Back in 2012, I discovered a lump in my throat, which turned out to be Parotid Gland Cancer. Despite undergoing an operation in Moradabad, the tumor re-occurred after a year. After series of tests, I was diagnosed with Parotid Gland Cancer by Professor Dr Piyush Kumar Agarwal, HOD, Department of Radiation Oncology at SRMS Hospital. It was quite a shattering news for me and my family, but I didn’t lost hope and made a firm decision to confront this disease. I was lucky enough to get the unwavering care and support of doctors and staff of SRMS Hospital.”
Vijay Pal’s brother, Tota Ram shares, “When Vijay was diagnosed with cancer, we were deeply saddened. However, SRMS Hospital came in as a life-saver and provided exceptional treatment to my brother and he is completely fine since then. The qualitative care and treatment at SRMS Hospital is truly commendable.”
