SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK HOSPITAL UNFOLDED REVOLUTIONARY TREATMENT FOR NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR

At Bareilly’s Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Hospital, a recent medical marvel unfolded under the care of Dr Shubhanshu Gupta, Senior Onco-Surgeon & Dr Siddhant Singh, Consultant—Oncology Surgeon, DNB (Surgical Oncology) at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, showcasing a breakthrough in the treatment of a neuroendocrine tumor in the lower rectum.

A 42-year-old patient presented with alarming symptoms of rectal bleeding. Through Dr Siddhant’s expertise, the diagnosis revealed a challenging case of a neuroendocrine tumor in lower rectum. Dr Siddhant employed his unparalleled skillset in performing a Robotic Abdominoperineal Resection (APR) for the patient, wherein, this innovative procedure aimed at excising the tumor from the lower rectum, marked a turning point in patient’s journey towards recovery.
