SRMS HOSPITAL HOSTS SUCCESSFUL BLOOD DONATION CAMPS FOR WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY WITH OVERWHELMING COMMUNITY RESPONSE!

On account of World Blood Donor Day, Department of Transfusion Medicine at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly conducted multiple Blood Donation Camps at City Center, Rampur Garden; Arya Samaj Mandir, Model Town & SRMS IMS, Bareilly, receiving an overwhelming response.

Centered on this year’s theme, ‘Celebrating 20 years of giving, thank you, blood donors! Your gift of life is priceless’, the noble initiative highlighted the critical role of voluntary blood donors in saving lives & promoting community health. In total, each camp witnessed more than 50 blood donors donating blood, collecting a total of 111 units of blood through voluntary participation, which underscored the collective spirit of donors coming together for this noble cause.

Aditya Murti, Director, Administration, SRMS IMS underscored the vital importance of blood donations in saving lives by personally contributing to the cause. His act of donating blood not only exemplified his commitment to healthcare, but also served as a powerful reminder of the ongoing need for such donations. He further highlighted the critical role that blood banks play in medical emergencies & patient care. Later, in his address, Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, encouraged donors, emphasizing the impact of their contributions to this noble cause. Dr Milan Jaiswal, HOD, Department of Transfusion Medicine also spread awareness about World Blood Donor Day in the presence of Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal SRMS IMS; Dr CM Chaturvedi, Deputy Medical Superintendent; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG & several others.
