SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES HONOR CANCER SURVIVORS WITH GRAND FELICITATION ON WORLD CANCER DAY 2025!

Celebrating resilience and hope, WORLD CANCER DAY 2026 on the theme #UnitedbyUnique’ was observed at RR Cancer Institute & Research Centre at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly with a grand felicitation event to honor ‘Cancer Survivors’.  The event was graced by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Chief Guest, ADG Zone Ramit Sharma; Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Rohit Sharma, Dean PG; Dr Piyush Kumar Agarwal, Director, RR Cancer Institute, and Professor & Head, Department of Radiation Oncology & other dignitaries.

The ceremony began with an introduction on World Cancer Day by MOC, Dr Himanshi Khattar, Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Piyush delivered a welcome address, highlighting the institute’s 19-year journey, its advanced facilities & cutting-edge technology. Soon after, an impactful video presentation showcased the journey & thoughts of cancer survivors being cured at SRMSIMS. Later, an impactful short play on cancer awareness was showcased.  The day carried on further with vocal and instrumental performances by MBBS students. At the end, Shri Dev Murti alongside ADG Ramit Sharma felicitated all cancer survivors with gift hampers. In his special address, ADG shared, “Cancer survivors are our real heroes. Their courage reminds us why awareness, early detection, and timely care matter, because cancer can be fought, and lives can be saved.”
