Music and melodies instantly bring us back to specific moments or memories when we hear them even years later. Keeping up with music mania, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRMS CETR, Bareilly conducted a college-level ‘Antakshari’ competition for the first-year students in the mini auditorium as a part of the ‘Zero Hour Activity’. The event was a great platform for the budding singers and music lovers to showcase their talent with enthusiasm.
The competition was divided into teams, where the first team had to sing two complete lines for the given letter, and then it may stop at the end of those or subsequent lines. The last letter of the last word sung is then used by the next team to begin singing another song with that letter. The winning team was decided by a process of elimination, which included Keshav (Batch 2022) and Ansh Chauhan (Batch 2022), while the runner up team included Shruti Gupta (Batch 2022) and Shubham Pandey (Batch 2022).
