SRMS CET&R HOSTED 3-DAY FDP BY HEXNBIT

SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research Bareilly organized a three-day ‘Online Faculty Development Program’ on the topic “Python with Data Analysis” Series-1, in collaboration with Hexnbit Ed-Tech Private Limited, Noida from October 17-19, 2022. The FDP that’s organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering CET&R was one-of-its-kind program that aimed at enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the institution by providing faculty members with enough opportunities to pursue research and also to participate in seminar, conferences and workshops.
The program that took place from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM at SRMS CETR, extended an opportunity to participants from academic institutions to understand the fundamentals of Data Analysis with Python; to provide theoretical and practical base on how to read data from sources like CSVs, Excel and other format; basic knowledge of python language like its data types, string, decisional control statement, flow control statement, loops, functions, list, structure and dictionary.
The mentor of the program was Gagan Preet Singh, CTO at Hexnbit Edtech Private Limited, Python & ML Developer, having 6+ years of experience of product development in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Python, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things and Data Analytics for various sectors such as medical, customer electronics and many more. He has delivered over hundreds of sessions to the Tech Enthusiast /Professionals / Trainees in all over India including Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore etc in deep technologies.
The three-day FDP included session’s namely inaugural ceremony and basic understanding of fundamentals of Python (on October 17); mathematical computation for analysis (on October 18) and Data Analysis using Pandas along with the Valedictory Ceremony (on October 19). During the FDP, the faculties were asked to fill a Google form as a part of the registration process.
FDP was quite helpful in finding how data processing can be performed through functions of library, missing values of dataset can be handled and visualization through Machine Learning Libraries for better analysis. During FDP, participants also got familiarized with different Machine Learning Libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn. Overall, the program proved to be a great success. As a result of MOUs between SRMS- CETR and other tech giants, several such programs are lined up in future also for the benefit of students as well as teachers to update them with the latest technologies from time to time
